Krishi Kranti (“we”, “us”) publishes farming guides and coverage at krishikranti.in. This page explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what your choices are. It’s written in plain language and reflects what this site actually does — not a generic template.

What we collect, and why

When you use the contact form

If you write to us through the Contact page, we collect the name, email address, phone number, topic, and message you provide, along with your IP address (used only to prevent spam and abuse). This is stored securely on our own server as a private record so we can reply to you, and a copy is emailed to our editorial inbox. We don’t use this information for marketing, and we don’t sell or share it with third parties.

Comments

Comments are currently switched off across the site. If we turn them on in future, commenting will collect the name, email, and content you submit, plus your IP address and browser information, and will be checked for spam using Akismet (run by Automattic) — see Automattic’s privacy policy for how Akismet handles that data.

Media

If you upload an image to this site (for example, as an attachment to a message), avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as this data can be extracted by anyone who downloads the image.

Cookies

We don’t run any advertising or analytics trackers on this site, so we don’t set marketing or tracking cookies. WordPress itself sets a small number of technical cookies — for example, to keep our editorial staff signed in to the admin area. These aren’t used to track visitors and expire automatically.

Who we share data with

• Google Workspace — outgoing email from this site (contact replies) is sent through our info@krishikranti.in Google Workspace mailbox.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — this site is hosted on our own server, located in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region.
• Akismet / Automattic — only if comments are enabled (see above).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and keep a record of correspondence, and delete them when they’re no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@krishikranti.in. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS (encrypted connections only), and access to stored messages is restricted to site administrators.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site changes. Significant changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
